Three lessons from Luke 9:57-62
- We cannot hold tightly to what we have and give sacrificially to Jesus
- We can choose what is good for us but we may miss God's best for us
- We cannot be anchored to the past and move with the Spirit
God's best requires us to throw off what weighs us down as we Say No to what seems to be Good so that we can Say Yes to God.
We also have to throw off the sin that entangles us.
Being disciplined, focused, and living sacrificial lives is only achieved through fixing our eyes on Jesus.
